, you will soon realise when you turn a veteran . You got to be over 99 years old .
Just kidding . I think its either based on the number of posts you have participated with or might even be the amount of time that you have been around.
All I know is mine turned from new member to veteran without me noticing it. And I only have been here since December

after 60 or 50 posts I believe

Actually, it happens when you pass 30 posts, which in my opinion is ridicilously low. I believe the medal colour changes to gold at the same time.
Although I'm quite honoured to be in the same league as well established people with thousands of posts, it would make more sense if we were labelled as New Members up to, say, 100 posts, then became Loyal Members up to 1000 posts, and therafter be Site Veterans (followed with bronze, silver and gold medals at the same intervals).
(Oops, a looong sentence, but it seems okay somehow).

I agree with you and I've made a suggestion, so we'll see if it's taken up.
Best regards, John

Glad you caught your breath, Mike. Sorry, but it's too late in the evening to be creative - after all we are an hour before you .
Thank you, John. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Good night, all.

Sounds very sensible !it would make more sense if we were labelled as New Members up to, say, 100 posts, then became Loyal Members up to 1000 posts, and therafter be Site Veterans (followed with bronze, silver and gold medals at the same intervals).
I do not feel myself a Veteran at all. I start feeling, that I am a member
This is good feeling, by the way
Maybe there should be sm number for posted photos as well - before YouŽll be honored with coloured medals ?

Perhaps extending the titles would be preferable?

My own take on this would be.After 5000 posts we should be awarded a Special Pentax User Diploma, otherwise known as the order of the SPUD Tony.

actually, I have a fairly quick motorcycle. So you 'site veterans' don't all have a bus pass yet then?
According to Einstien's theory, the faster an object moves towards the speed of light, the slower time goes...
so I keep holding the throttle wide open, hoping to live longer...
So give me my veterans pension, and get the @#$%!!! outa my way!
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.
