The theme for this competition is Doors.

The usual rules apply: photo must have exif intact and be taken between now and 18.00 London time on Wednesday 18 February 2009, when the competition closes.

Maximum size is 800 pixels on the longest side.

So lets see a door, or doors, of all shapes , colours, and sizes.

Sitting in front of it this afternoon reading all the depressing news in the world, it occurred to me that the doors of the woodburning stove might make a reasonable photograph.

p.s. the various specks are ash rather than defects in the image or Photoshop additions for artistic effect

Sign on the door says: "Kurjad kassid" (= cruel cats )
I am not sure what word is the right one.
What is written on the signs (on gates) that give a warning about cruel, angry etc dogs ???? Here its "cats" instead of "dog".

This is from a very 'old' part of my town, it is actually the local prison circa 1835 and is still in ruin, waiting for a sale...! any takers?
