Had a few hours to pass in Southport, Lancashire, on 1st August 2015. Took my camera to try it out on something other than aircraft! All images taken with
K-50 and 18-55 DAL WR or Tamron 70-300LD. All images are JPEGs straight from the camera, i've not done any PP as i'm happy with these as they are. All resized for the forum and in addition No.17 has been slightly cropped. Hope you like.

Both SRS and WEX are offering the K3II plus new 16-85WR for less than £1000. Given that the 16-85WR is currently on sale at the ridiculous price of £499 or so, it implies that there will be a big drop coming in the price of this lens if bought on its own...probably £100 reduction I would have thought...particularly as Microglobe have been selling it this past week or so for £349.

Nice set. The ones in the rain are nice to see because they are so infrequently shown..but the last one is my favourite...so sharp and great sense of movement.

Excellent those Neil. I'd be hard pushed to pick a favourite. Probably the Hawker if I had to.

Seeing your title just reminded me that I saw my first live badger last night...it had just finished crossing a suburban road before heading into some undergrowth near the local tennis club. Seen loads of dead ones...so this made a refreshing change!

With regard to the snake and newt...has nobody told the snake that Great Crested Newts are a protected species?

I presume its only a one year warranty like Amazon...but as you say some of the prices are so low...

My only experience of dealing with them is buying a Pentax OEM lens hood for the 18-55 a couple of weeks ago...great saving against RRP and arrived quickly, well packaged...not much to go on but couldn't fault the service or price.

Some cracking shots again Alan, I really like most of them.

I know Mike's a fast jet fan ...i'm more of a rotor and prop man myself..so if I had to pick my favourites...No's 5,15 and 12 in that order.

cheers

Recently bought a K-50 with the 18-55 DAL WR. I decided I would like a lens hood to go with it. It turns out there are two very similar hoods but with different screw threads on them...although both are 52mm diameter thread.

The information as to which one I needed was not as easy to come by as you might imagine. I ended up with the wrong one. Luckily this fits the 18-55 non WR lens supplied new with the K-x which my son is now using..so at least I won't need to return it (Pentax OEM as well).

I now have the correct one ( a compatible JJC branded one for £9.90 delivered) which i'm pleased with.

To summarise: If buying to fit the 18-55 DAL NON-WR lens..you need the "PH-RBA" or compatible labelled the same.
If buying to fit the 18-55 DAL WR version you need the "PH-RBC" or compatible labelled the same.

Hope this stops someone wasting their money buying the wrong one.
