Lens Hoods for 18-55 kit lenses

Recently bought a K-50 with the 18-55 DAL WR. I decided I would like a lens hood to go with it. It turns out there are two very similar hoods but with different screw threads on them...although both are 52mm diameter thread.

The information as to which one I needed was not as easy to come by as you might imagine. I ended up with the wrong one. Luckily this fits the 18-55 non WR lens supplied new with the K-x which my son is now using..so at least I won't need to return it (Pentax OEM as well).

I now have the correct one ( a compatible JJC branded one for £9.90 delivered) which i'm pleased with.

To summarise: If buying to fit the 18-55 DAL NON-WR lens..you need the "PH-RBA" or compatible labelled the same.
If buying to fit the 18-55 DAL WR version you need the "PH-RBC" or compatible labelled the same.

Hope this stops someone wasting their money buying the wrong one.
