The only point is who did in the past make a date back to put a stamp on each photo????? They should kill that person.
The ergonomics are very good, people who uses nikon/canon took my camera and held it and liked the grip. The light meter never let's me down in theater, and that's a good point that i can rely on that.
The service desk said there are some known problems with the 330gs which will be repaired for free. Maybe this is one of these...

Actually, the *st D is a professional grade DSLR compared with the Nikon D70 or the Canon equivalent. The viewfinder is bright and clear, you can get different focusing screens if you want, all the important controls are really easy to get to, including DOF preview.
You can even get near-instant histogram replay, for all those of the simian persuasion. Take your shot, hit the Replay button, hit Info, and there's your histogram! Then hit the Replay button and you're back in shooting mode. A two second procedure once you get used to it!

I use the mz-s and it has all the features i need for a pro camera and am very happy with it. Especially the +/- correction button which came back after the Z1p. haven't seen this one on a digi body...
A while ago they went a sleep with Pentax. Canon made a burst, Nikon replied to it and pentax slept further...
Last week i read at dpreview that the profits were dropped 42%, and that pentax now will bring out 3 bodies a year. But we are not waiting on a Ist D-L2 with 6Mb....

i had the same thing last months. Should i wait and buy digital or not.
eventually i bought a 645nii besides my mz-s.
Before i had a pentax 67 which i took into the mountains on my back along with the mz-s (about 12-14 kilo..). After the trips i had the following problems.
1 weight
the weight eventually will exhaust you, and causing you to look
less hard for pictures after 5 hours of walking and climbing.
2 tripod
i did some shooting without a tripod and got some pics that where
shaken. Dof was low because i had to use F8 to get 1/60 or higher with
400 film.
So if you go for 67 you will need a tripod. I shoot a lot out of the hand.
If you want to do a lot of landscapes, a 67 is the size to go for. 4x5" even better...
That's why i searched and came to the 645. it's light, very good light measuring, and very good optics for reasonal prices and a lot of 2nd hand stuff to get. It's very easy to shoot out of the hand and there's the possibility to use a dedicated flash which i have for my mz-s.
Why not digital:
1 price
2 a lot of problems at this moment. It has a long way to go..
3 when you buy one, you won't be able to sell it afterwards
because after a year a new one with more pixels is there and no one
want the older.
4 can't compete to medium format
5 Digital has only one type of film. I can choose which kind of film to use
portrait/50 asa...
6 Black and white sucks which digital. I shoot a lot of b/w. number of
Gray tones is with digital very low.
7 dof is very high with current lenses. If you want to shoot a pic where
for instance only the eye of the person is sharp, is not possible digital
because the dof is already very large.
8 storing images is a boring proces that takes a lot of time.
cd-r's must be copied fresh after some years otherwise you will loose
information on the cd. So it's possible that after 10 years you take a
cd, and can't read it anymore...
Anyone who says digital is cheaper, i smile at. The camera isn't worth anything after buying, the shutter goes for 50000 pictures. After that the shutter should be renewed for some 400 euro... printing at a store through the internet aks for startup costs about 1,50 euro. The print is more expensive 55cents than normal printing (35-45 cents) from negatives. So i thing it would be at break even unless you are a lousy photographer with 1 good picture out of 100.

Willie Jan

When the body looks nice (mine looked like new) they would probably not have used it that heavy. Do not buy one from a model photographer as mentioned before or you should be 100% that it is ok (check up by pentax)
I own the 55mm and the 135 macro. Pics are very sharp, (maby even to sharp for some models) but i get a kick from it when i see the results. Everybody think they must go digital, i instead go pentax 67 and i won't regret it for a lifetime!
i am searching now for a 400 b/w film that is becoming my default film. 100 asa for outside it to low. I shoot from 1/60 out of my hand and occasioanlly from 1/30 without mirror lockup with good results!

Nice body with in the future capability of buying a digi body which will work with your current lens collection. This will also increase the price of the lenses, so buy them now.

i love it already!

Just take the best 10-15 from each category and remove the rest. It will get nicer to look at and your quality impression will be higher by the viewer.
I too am working on a new website www.foto-art.nl and will still be working on it after 5 years i think...
