I've had the same experience. Partially undoing the lens, then clicking it home positively has fixed the problem.

I have owned every Pentax camera since the K10, and the K3 is the best camera Pentax have ever made in my opinion and as a photographic tool, its a great camera that can be used for virtually anything with the right glass.

In my travels I rarely see another Pentax. 2 during 6 weeks in South America in 2012, none in Turkey (6 weeks) or Spain or UK (6 weeks between them). On the other hand I don't spend much time looking at the cameras others use or look for Pentaxes but I'm sure I would notice it if there really were many more of them.

There's been little mention of the 60-250 f4 here. How do people rate it or isn't it a lens you would consider for whatever reason you might have.
I've started thinking about it to replace my Sigma 70-300 which is disappointing. It's slow to focus & IQ, particularly at the long end, pretty ordinary. The downside to the 60-250 is the weight & the price......

It doesn't matter how sharp the original file is resizing softens it so a little sharpening is required.
Interestingly I've found my K-5 files can take more sharpening than the K-7 files. Don't know why this should be.

People talk fondly of the quality of K10D images & CCD v CMOS sensors. I can't comment except to say that I found the K-7 sensor disappointingly noisy & felt the K-7 images needed more sharpening than the *istD.
If I were in the upgrade market I would consider a K-5 for it's excellent sensor.
