I saw this bird and thought 'very colourful I'll get a snap'. As soon as I lifted my camera the bird scarpered. Do you think it may have thought I was aiming a gun, as the lens was the 150-500 perhaps it thought it was a cannon!!!

Do not know of fitting studs into the soles Alan but i used to get my studded waders from the chandlers on fish quay at Shields they may do studded wellies for the trawler men.

One of the greatest "Dancing on Ice Acts" I witnessed at sea was one of the deckhands trying to walk and stay upright on a steel deck wearing studded wellies. We used to start counting as soon as he stepped onto the deck and neve got past 7 before he was down. Imagine a new born foal etc trying to stand for the first time and you get some idea

I've often wondered if it's true, you slip off a ledge into deep water and go upside down, will the air trapped inside the waders prevent you from getting upright again. Answers on a postcard please

Took this at the weekend. Like the cloud shadowing Great Gable but I think there may be "too much" sky. C & C's please

Hi Stuey and Cedric, the extraction went so painlessly because the tooth was already loose which was the cause of the problem. I have to go back for a filling which I'm not looking forward too

Hope you are managing to keep you spirit levels up Cedric and hope your forthcoming dental work is a success Stuey

Thanks for all the help and in the next round it's a big black bird with a bit of a tuft on the back of its neck.

Violence on the nesting site.

Take That!!
