Woke up early this morning. Got up and looked out the bathroom window. Gorgeous sky. Raced to the beach. Forgot mt phone, forgot my glasses, forgot my remote release

So got some pics which I composed as best I could in liveview without my glasses, and using the camera timer.

All with the K5 and the Samsung version of the 12-24

Absolutely fantastic images, hard to pick which one I like best but I'll give my vote to #1.

I'd go for 1 & 3. I think it's the lack of foreground that puts me off 2

Thanks for the feedback guys. Barrie I was thinking the groyne and reflected sunlight made a nice triangle. Know what you mean though

Incidentally the beach huts was my first shot taken with the tiny Manfrotto tripod I bought about a month ago after seeing Matt's grafitti shots

Alan - they are all superb - 2 may not have much in foreground interest but more than makes up for it wityh the detail in the break water for me - I would be tempted to A4 crop just below the bottom of the break water keeping the sun in shot - I think the lead line of the break water would stand out much more

Number 2 is very special - I'd have it on my wall in a flash. Possibly crop a little, not much, off the bottom & l/h edge?
