That's called colaboration Stan, not calibration.
And then I suffer exasperation

I have nightmares of making everything worse. Perhaps I should start by having my eyes tested Is there somewhere that demonstrates the ideal set-up for adjusting a lens ? I usually just wait for another person to tell me " it's a bit soft "

I've lost count of the number of different plumbing firms vans I've seen at the house.
Perhaps they are the trainees doing Night Classes :

Went to Alnwick Gardens today and it seemed more like winter than spring, just escaped getting battered by hailstones

davidtrout wrote But you live not far away Geordie so you must be aware of some of the Durham attractions already. The Market Place is also worth a look.
It's funny you should say that David but seeing places as a visitor and seeing them as a photographer must be worlds apart. Durham is on my list of places to re-visit and hopefully this time I will "see" more as a snapper than on previous visits as a non-snapper I have taken note of wasleys comment "need to walk" and it may be a good time to try the one lens only exercise

The remainder of my teeth look like a row of condemed houses. In the late 90's I almost failed a medical as one my teeth was deemed unfit to take a watch at sea. The tooth in question had been in that condition since the mid 60's. I almost asked the doctor, "In that case if I lose my "I" teeth will I be registered as blind" ?

fatspider wrote I would clone out that irritating dark smudge on the left hand edge of the frame though.
I hadn't seen that one there was a darker one on the right which I did get.

Opinion seems divided on the sky so have tried David Storm's suggestion of a little foreground to balance the image, as it was only grass I've cropped it little.
