BB2 - thanks, and you're right, I should have searched first (getting lazy in my old age.) Will check now.

Whilst doing the usual surfing for ways to spend more of the kid's inheritance, I came across this: http://www.waltersphotovideo.co.uk/products/sigma-24-70mm-f2-8-ex-dg-macro-penta...

I've also found it at Microglobe for a few quid more. The thing is, SRS have it at £759!! (I assume that my aging eyes haven't deceived me...) Anybody any experience with this one, good or bad?

Thanks

(RR - I know I've just sold you my 17-70 in the basis that I needed a longer walkaround lens and wasn't bothered by the loss in quality, but that was last week!!)

To add to your problems, I go for two as well. RR commented on the way you were led out of the frame to the left, which to me re-enforces the message that this issue is so easy to walk away from. Also, having all of the subject in the frame again highlights the isolation and distances the viewer. Your call (but a bit of dodging on ATM man would help if you stick on 1)!

I think Pauly is a master of the black and white (if memory serves me well!) It is a good image - personally, I would crop the bottom off just below the taxi. Allow enough of the grafitti into the image, but concentrate on the colours. The panoramic crop would also give more sense of direction to the cab moving across the frame. I can't help thinking that the "230" in the top left could somehow be turned into the focus, although I've no idea how...

No problem! Once you've put it on you will wonder how you survived without it

Thanks all. I'm unable to drive at the moment due to medical reasons, so visiting shops is not very easy. The FA 1.4 does seem a bit of a no-brainer, and I suppose it's time to start saving for the new body anyway...

Blimey - these things happen quick! Since missing out on the 12-24 bonanza I've kept my eye on this lot. Will have to set up an hourly reminder to spot the next bargain

I believe they are available online as well. You may have to buy something small extra to get free shipping.
