HDR is nice, and I usually hate it. But I'm definitely with Kris in the fusspot camp. Your artistic moment I'm afraid detracts for me! As for the grass - I'm on the fence

Alan - not being deliberately different here (look at his portfolio to understand what I mean :wink, but this is what stood out. It's a cliche, but it really does have a 3-d feel to it; lovely colours, brilliant contrast of dark sky to bright town, a pleasure to look at:

Mhuni, I used a UK online retailer (http://www.studentexpressware.co.uk/gbu0-display/splash.html) and they simply wanted to see proof of my son's attendance of the Primary School with my address on it. I sent a pdf of his acceptance letter and they turned it round within hours, no problem.

Cheers

This is a Tamron Adaptall 35-70mm macro. It's in good nick optically and mechanically, but is a bit rough cosmetically. You'll need an adapter and it will go to 1:2.8 macro improving to a lovely 1:1.4 macro with the 2x converter (which I will indeed be selling later).

I'll send foc in UK, for oversea's you'll have to cover postage. Only conditions are that (a) you have at least 20 posts, (b) you offer it back into the forum after 6 months with same conditions.

Quite a shot! I do, however, find the blown highlights a bit distracting. If I scroll up and use my screen to crop the clouds off, leaving a thin panorama, then I really like this - for me the strength of the image is the hills and rays.

This is, of course, my own view and I wish I could post such a picture!

I used Silkypix and then moved to LR3 even though I thought Silkypix was marginally better quality wise. The fact is that LR3 is such a superb all-round package and does 90% of ALL the photo editing, storing and publishing I need.

For example, it's publishing manager is extremely powerful. I can work on a single RAW image and then add it to several publishing services: one will convert to jpeg and upload to my Zenfolio account; one will save as RAW on my back-up drive; one will convert to jpeg, resize to 800 pixels and save to my Pentax User directory ready for upload. Each operation, after initial set-up, takes ONE click of the mouse (and if I change any photos after uploading to Zenfolio it will automatically re-publish!)

And for when I do need layers, I can launch PSE from the RAW file, do my work and a PSD will then be saved in a stack with the original on closing PSE. And finally, I also bought the student edition for my (8 year old) son and both he and I have a copy loaded on our machines. It's a no-brainer!

Nice one Amin! You deserve it for all the hard work you put in.

Just bought a AF240Z for my son's *ist DS for £10 off ebay. Works lovely in P mode and gives bounce flash.
