Has anyone else entered the Pentax Meet Britain Comp. Having carefully selected my entries I find that first you really need to sign up to Facebooks bombardment of you with emails (I deregisterd when it reached six per day) The website did give an email address (which I see is now withdrawn) but my entries were declared undeliverable because the domain name does not exist! Is this a taste of what we can expect from Ricoh?

I bought a Zoom gorilla pod, initially to put a wirless flash on. I find it useful when out walking as it clips nicely on my camera bag. I can fix it to posts or fences to take photos, especially HDR. It also became a great portable toy with my grandson. Caught having to amuse him while mum went to the dentist we needed something to amuse him. The gorilla pod kept him quiet for ages and seemed almost indestructable!

David, The PC is new so I don't think the problem lies in a clogged up registry. The purpose of my post was to see if any others had this problem. I could imagine your suggestions would fit my old machine. I am using it with DNG files - so they are large.

This is a much later entry on the Digital Camera utility 4. Knowing it required a high spec (at least 2ghzt dual core) I was not surprised mine kept crashing. The problem is that with a quad core and 4Mbts RAM it is still doing it. Any suggestions? (Yes mine is the latest version (now 4.33) and the K7 I use has the latest firmware.
On the prog itself I prefer it for basic work to Photoplus. The white balance and exposure settings are good. It functions clumsily. I wish it had some instructions. Could the mag do some? (What do all the functions do?)

I want to use my K7 as a live web cam on a laptop running VIsta. The laptop has an integral webcam but I think the k7 may do a better job - certainly more flexible. I have used the USB connector and can access files direct. Control Panel recognises the hardware but I can't get live pics. There does not appear to be an option to select source for live pics. Any suggestions?

I have an MZ3 with 28-90 & 80 - 320 AF lenses and Pentax TTLflash. I am reliably told that all would be compatible with the new DSLRs and, for the sake of economy, would want to use them with a new DSLR. I have been looking at the K7. Is there anything I need to be aware of? Is there a better/more suitable DSLR in the Pentax range? Any other advice?

I have an MZ-3 and recently started scanning the negatives. Mostrecently these are coming back VERY scratched. My local shop says they are not down to hiom but when i showed the results he didn't think they were camera based. He claims his scanner removes scratches very accuratley, hence the scratches are not on the prints. I wonder if I can ever eradicate this problemn or should give up and join the DSLR brigade
