Flan, I am off out today to experiment with my GR set to B/W with R1 filter held over the lens. Had quick experiment yesterday, it seems possible. Watch this space as they say.

That is what I have been looking for. Superb Mono/BW call it what you will. 12,13 & 14. Is what I have been chasing since my first Digital piece of kit. Ram raid on my savings pot very shortly. Thank you for posting these.

Regarding this lengthy ongoing discussion on Mono/B&W. On this forum I guess are a great many members, so, why not a competition in B&W to discover what is the best method. Straight out of camera, no filters. I have been trying Mono on K1, cannot seem to emulate anything close to B&W from my youth, there may be a member out there who has cracked it. At least we may get somewhere close. Just a thought.

vey well caught, not seen very often in my area, many kites, occasional buzzard, rare to see sparrowhawk, peregrines nesting on cathedral.
