1. Taken yesterday, Water Rail, heavily cropped, quite a secretive bird, excuse the twig in the way, DA* 300;

2. Buzzard, same lens with TC 1.4 WR ;

3. Today's shot of an Oyster Catcher on KP and DA* 300.;

The buzzard and oyster catcher are nicely done. However, the water rail is the highlight for me - so difficult to see in the open but you've gone and got it! Never mind the OOF twig, that sort of thing makes it all the more real. Just as long as you're not submitting it for a competition...

Thank you for the comments, I keep trying to get a better shot of the Rail but it's proving elusive at the mo.

From today, possibly same Buzzard or it's mate, they are busy in my local area at the moment, the male keeps building starter nests for the female to choose? I never knew they did this....
KP DA*300 and TC 1.4 again bit of PP. ISO 100 f6.7 1/500th sec.

Same lens, KP, TC 1.4, bit of PP in RT lightening the eye area, although the sun was catching the cheek and that was left as is, Bullfinch hiding in the hedges eating buds/seeds, twigs in the way again;

Nice. Used to get one in the garden occasionally but haven't seen one there or anywhere else for years. Strange how these things happen. Starlings were once regulars in the garden, then they disappeared for must be 10 years or more, now they're back again.

Twigs in the way, yes but not disturbingly so. And the OOF twigs at the far left frame the bird nicely. That must surely have been deliberate... .

Agree with missing birds, haven't see a Thrush in our garden for years, plenty of other species but no thrush.
