Taken yesterday with KP and DA* 300mm F4 and 1.4 TC (420mm) at a distance, and max cropping, so small files, f6.7, 1/1000th sec, and ISO 400.
I'm fairly sure it's a Sparrowhawk and dare I say a Female. It kindly turned around to pose but was hiding best it could!

vey well caught, not seen very often in my area, many kites, occasional buzzard, rare to see sparrowhawk, peregrines nesting on cathedral.

Well spotted and photographed!!!

I saw one of these the other chasing a sparrow!! They disappeared into a garden but did not reappear!! It's a fair bet the raptor had lunch!!
