I saw this old Lotus single seat racer at a recent classic day at Silverstone - can anyone identify it?
Thanks in advance
Phil

If no-one definitively identifies it before next week I'll ask my brother-in-law. He'll ID it at a glance. Lotus 27 looks about right though. Used in Formula Junior, I believe.

Thanks for the steer - I've googled images of the 27 and that's what it looks like.

Stan - that's a well known mnemonic (and often true), but this one started first time, and after all the correct number of cylinders joined in the fun, it sounded pretty good too as it pulled away.

Well, it cant be as bad as a FIAT: fix It Again, Tony.
Or FORD: Fix Or Repair Daily.

E - Engineer
N - Normally
A - After
U - Use
L - Lasting
T - Trouble

And I though fiat meant Fix It Again Tomorrow

The last time I saw cogs that broken they were from an Escort MKII

Is it me or has just about every panel been replaced on that old twin cam fiat wotsit

Looks like a decent work in progress
