Pentax once again making the newswires. There is a pattern emerging here and momentum appears to be building. Could be that Hoya have released some funds for some long overdue marketing.
This would make even more sense if it is a presursor to the annoucement of a new DSLR

At the risk of stating the obvious, have you checked all the usual things to eliminate a faulty card.

How much free space is showing on the card?

If a drectory search shows a lot of used space the files may be still there but might have for some reason become crosslinked. In that case it may be able to recover them with a PC utility

If you have eliminated the card as a source of the problem, then was the image on the card the first or last shot you took with the card?
Have you tried to take any more shots since, either with the card in question or another?

Good to see that Pentax are pressing forward

Hopefully by the end of the year. I picked up the DA 50-200 as an incentive, it was an ex demo example, mint for only £65

One tip I have read is to remove the pin, that fouls the AF. You would probably have to take of the lens mount to get at it. Beware of small small springs and steel balls if you go this route.
