I too agree. Since my purchase from your good self , it has always been the first lens that I put in the bag and it is in my favourite 'Ltd' by a long way.

I have recently been revisiting a number of MZ series cameras that sit on a shelf, mainly purchased at the time for their bundled lenses etc. While many favour the traditional styling of the MZ3, I have always preferred the handling of the MZ6. This brings me to the attached image. A MZ6 , a motor and a gear. I have a couple non functioning MZ6's that have failed due to a 'fractured' gear. It does feel quite poignant, when such a sophisticated, beautiful to handle device is rendered a non functioning paperweight, for want of a such a small component. Of course the problem is a well known bane of the MZ series and there is an excellent repair guide online which explains in great detail how to strip down the camera and replace with a brass gear, but it requires more dexterity than I currently possess.
Maybe one day.

The latest versions include 'Adaptive Colour' as an option in the profile settings. Has this been inadvertently selected?

Indeed , there were no easy pickings that day.

I asked why they needed to reinvent the wheel and asked for the reintroduction of original accessories for the LX and Z series cameras.

I used the preset in conjunction with the on focus buttons on several occasions during a trip earlier in the year to Canada. I was on a stationary boat taking pictures of bears on the shoreline, who were about 60 yards away. The technique was also useful in capturing bold eagles flying to and from their eyrie. They flew a quite consistent route and passed within 50 yards of our hotel balcony.
As you say birds can appear from anywhere, especially the smaller species.
