PENTAX REMOTE Assistant v3.51 works fine on Windows XP but I can't get it to recognize my K20D camera on Vista at all. Does anybody here have the same problem or has a solution?
I don't know about the K20, but PRA 3.51 works fine with my K10 and Vista.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I posted this tongue in cheek. When I spotted the tree, I was immediately reminded of the Ents, or at least Peter Jackson's version thereof. The thinking behind the caption was that this 'youngster' was on its way to battle Saruman, became lost and was asking the question, Which way to Isengard?

Maybe I spent to much time in the sun.

And yes I did use my most precious. Now there's a thought, equating Pentax lenses to the rings of power.

Definitely spent too much time in the sun

George,
From the EXIF data, the first was already at f/6.3, ISO 200, 160mm Not a great deal of room for maneuver as the largest aperture on the 50-200 is f/5.6 at the 200mm end.
2nd and third were at f/8 - so there's a bit more latitude.
Matt
Thanks Matt. There's a reason people like prime lenses!

Steve,

I like these.

Again, my comment from the duck shots applies here - what lens was used, at what length etc.

See the first comment regarding your Deer pictures?

DA 50-200 @ F8.0 Average shutter speed around 1/500th. Realised when I got back that SR had been turned off.

To be honest, I find these images uninteresting. They seem to me to be little more than snapshots, taken from wherever you happened to be at the time.
I agree the subject is not that interesting and I was quite happily snapping away at all manner of things. What appealed to me here was the mix of; transparency and murk in the water and also the shadows and reflections.

I could possibly have got a little lower. I was sitting on a wall at waters edge, but the water was about 2 feet below.

Where's your sense of creativity man? Surely you could have found somebody to grab your ankles whilst you dangled over the edge.

Actually, I'd have shot just the water, no ducks. Images like that, with a bit of work, make great backgrounds for other images.
Make a note to myself, must try harder.

Actually the only people around were kids out on a school trip. Spent a lot time trying to keep them out of the frame

Steve,

What adds interest for me regarding shots on this forum, is some data about the camera settings, lens settings etc.

Folk are often asking for examples of various lenses and these shots may fill the bill (NOT a duck joke!)
