Accurate... have some of you tried to other cameras AF?

All the lenses i've now work very well, they are certainly not the fastest but AF is very solid with them.

Just set the camera on manual
Even on manual I can't get the shutter speed above 180

Totally agree Michael, a more accurate and faster AF would be the way to go for me. And I also want a camera where I choose the speed of the shutter for flash use!

All of the following were taken with this lens. If anyone is undecided about whether to buy I hope this helps sway you.... Do it, it is a great lens and not too expensive either especially the DAL version.

If money is no object then take a look at the DA* series, but if this is not the case then if you want more reach then the DA 55-300 is a very good lens for the money and highly recommended.
But of course it is all speculative until you say what your thing is when it comes to photography. Portrait, Landscape, Wildlife, Macro etc. All these things require something particular.

I bought one of these off ebay last week and am very impressed with the results (for the money).
OK I admit the shots could be much better but please bear in mind that they were taken in not great light and hand held and yes if I had bought a Bigma they may be better but this cost me 1/9th of the bigma and I don't think it is a ninth of the quality. What do you think?

That adds F1 to the list of sport that a'hole has nicked, after football, cricket and boxing. I hate murdoch and that goes way back before the NOTW scandal.
Sky Sports was available to all Sky viewers before they got the footie and once that happened they scrambled all of it not just the footie.... gits.

I think if you set it to focus at 55 you might lose the sharpness at 300 and I would wager you will use the long end of the lens way more than the short as 55 is covered elswhere. Just my thoughts.

Once you have selected the AF point press the OK button then you can press the WB button.
