Jetski Action

Hi

Not my usual sort of subject but caught these guys when I was on the pier at Saltburn on Sunday. They were quite a distance from me in the main - all taken on the Kr + Sigma 120-400 hand held.

No pp other than cropping.

As always c+c welcome

Great set there Carl. I think No.1 would be an absolute cracker if you pulled up the shadow detail of the guy's face and eye.

Cracking set, and really well timed on those shots.

These are corkers! Great action shots and nice and sharp too. I think the first is a belter, you get the impression of being really close in (it would make a good advert for 'Rickter'). 4 and 5 also stand out - 4 for the swirling line which goes round the shot, and 5 because there is a good sense of the environment with the waves rolling in. Top stuff!

Number 1 stands out for me as well, excellent set all round.

The upside down ones, whilst very impressive, do not work as well for me. My initial feeling was to rotate them the right way round, especially number 2

Maybe they're cropped too tightly ? Perhaps showing more sea infront of 2 & 6? 4 works better because of this, agree with Matts comments on this.

If I'd have taken them, I'd have been happy with all of them !

George

A well timed set of shots.
No 1, for me, you can really sense the riders determination.

Take care.

Excellent set Carl. I too like #1. Its a pity that in #5 you can't see the face, or that would possibly have been my favourite

They are fantastic, I have been there many times but never seen jet skis only surfers. I do have some nice shots of the pier though!

Excellent set of shots.

I agree about brightening the face, and it's still a little dark on my monitors in the 2nd version

Great images. 1 is the best but I also really like the curves in No. 4.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
