Whatever it was that I triggered, I apologise if it upset anyone, I haven't seen any of the comments that were put on following mine but reiterate I meant no offence.

I went to a game on the weekend using the same equipment i.e. K-7 and DA 55-300. As mentioned earlier it is important to get non blurred shots and suffer a little grain than unusable blurred images. I probably could have done better but here are some examples:

1. ISO 800 f5.8 1/20 (shutter speed too low so had to up the ISO to 1600)

2. ISO 1600 f8 1/125

3. ISO 1600 f8 1/125

Yep that works, I don't think it's creepy simply because of the hint of a smile on the girls face. Lovely shot

Three 8gb Sandisk. Big enough to cope with a day down the kart track although I usually end up finishing the day on a second card. The third is a just in case. The reason I haven't gone for bigger is after a friend of mine went on holiday and used a 16GB card, it got corrupted and he lost all his holiday shots, so my answer is: carry lots of smaller ones and in the event of loss or damage don't lose all shots.

The list is too great to mention all, and having only one chance only, it would be near impossible to narrow it down. This is a bit like asking what my favourite song of all time is I may be able to get down to a top 25 but after that I would be unable to chop any more out of the list, the same goes for togging. I suppose the ultimate that I can think of, having been put on the spot, would be a 360 degree panorama from the top of Everest (on a clear day of course)
Oh yes equipment ... K-5 as its damn cold up there and a quality wide lens to get as much in as possible (neither of which I own)

Congrats on not over saturating these the sky is a proper colour. However they could do with a little sharpening and the contrast pushed a tad just to give them a little more punch. The shot through the doorway requires straightening and you also have a little dust on your sensor.
Nice set though.

Cheers Guys, I've gone all flushed. That is high praise indeed from some of my illustrious peers, I cannot thank you enough.
Another shot from tonight... a herring gull atop a lamp post. At this range it really is spectacular.
I have adjusted the sharpness and added a little NR in LR3 as I'm using a K-7 at ISO 800, but apart from that it is unmolested. An amazing lack of CA too!

Thank you all for the comments, I am very happy with the lens and consider it a bit of a bargain
