I set the catch in focus in the menu C - 5 - 35 set to 2.
once done set the camera to AF.S focus point at your subject and turn focus slowly while pressing the release and the shutter should fire. You will need to use as high a shutter speed as possible or your shots will be blurred so to compensate push the ISO up to 1600 or above, grainy pics are better than blurry pics.

and chased out a whole host of creepy crawlies. Grabbed the 50mm and the tubes and attached the DOI ring flash and had an hour of snapping... I think I deserved it?
Here are some for your perusal.
1. Male Leaf Hopper

2. Jumping Spider with lunch

3. Mating Ants

4. 6 legged harvest Spider (Not guilty)

5. Green Spider on lavender

6. Jumping Spider, same one as earlier. I watched her jump the ant she's carrying. But to her annoyance it was a spent carcass.

7. Orb Spider

8. Mating Leaf Hoppers... excuse the dirty great mote of dust at these magnifications even the tiniest piece of dust looks like a length of rope!

Thanks for the comment and in answer to your question it is the K mount version, Just tried it with a Kenko 2x TC and even though a seagull sat on a roof over the road filled the frame there was absolutely no definition in the feathers so that's a no go.

I have the ebay app on my iphone and have a short list of wanted items that
I search for on a daily basis. One of the searches was pentax 600mm, when this one came up at £110 BIN, and for a change I had the money, I had to have it.
