I really like the Lowepro Compuday 250 for days out - lightweight, discrete and side access panel - it doesn't have the normal compartments of most backpacks which I also find more flexible

Until recently I would have said Pan head but having just bought a Benro CF tripod with a ball head I much prefer it - the pan head I now find a bit clumsy and cumbersome in use, I'd agree with ken though that a pan head does probably allow for more precise adjustments

Being completely honest I hadn't really noticed the rotating focusing ring At least not so that I can ever remember it being an issue

The DA17-70 is a great lens, especially for landscapes, although I can't compare it to the 16-50 which I've never really considered, maybe I should

Keep an eye out for ALBELLI offers, best quality book I've come across so far and I've tried a few - CEWE would be my 2nd choice

I've previously owned the older Sigma 10-20 but much prefer my current DA12-24, sharper corner to corner than my previous Sigma

The LRPS is something I plan to have a go at too soon - it would be interesting to hear how you decided on the images in your panel and in which sequence to display them?

It depends how fussy you are but personally, despite trying several other brands, I've never found any that produce photos like the originals - I only use OEM now, 7 Day Shop prices are probably the cheapest
