As the File Allocation Table (FAT) is the only reference to where files are stored I don't see what difference it would make. A full format will highlight faulty areas of the card but that is rare. Quick formats are fine on other digtal storage types.

Only in an adaptor for a full size card.

I installed the Win version last night. All ok, does what it says on the tin but interface could do with a face lift. Some menu function icons are very small and meaningless until you try them out. Seems to work though, so ok for quick or light use and it's free.

Thanks for posting this, I will have to try it out, probably the Win version.
Have you found any issues?

I rarely see someone using a regular phone on the bus or train.

I have seven A and M series lens and one Tokina PKA zoom. All bar the Tokina owned since my 35mm days. Some get more use than others but they are all good. I've recently 'rediscovered' my SMC-A F4 35-70mm on digital and it's an excellent perfomer, particularly at the long end. It was used on the last six pictures in my Gallery and it's very good for close ups that don't go into macro territory.

+1 for a poll of members
There's been nothing stopping someone starting a thread which includes a poll. If the 'Yes to Off Topic posts' numbers are insignificant then this matter can be finally laid to rest.

Funny how nobody has.

This one is excellent. Well written and with stunning photos, it centres on composition rather than technical aspects that might bore a beginner.

It sounds more severe than the 'mirror flap' issue. I'd try removing everything, SD card, lens and batteries. Wait a minute or two then insert batteries only and turn on. If this fails then it's probably a repair job. Trouble is the current low used value of a K100D body means it would be cheaper to buy a replacement. You may even get a better secondhand camera for the repair price.
