Can you recommend a good photography book to accompany an MX-1?

For my daughter getting the MX-1 as a present. Level very beginner to intermediate, needs to be interesting read and not over complex otherwise it won't get looked at.

This one is excellent. Well written and with stunning photos, it centres on composition rather than technical aspects that might bore a beginner.

You may want to look at the huge collection of Michael Freemann's books. From all-in-one to technically very detailed books on specific subjects.

I found this one very useful.
Absolutely nothing on taking photographs as such, but lots on composition.
It's called "How to look at photographs", by David Flinn.

That is a fantastic book but IMO better for intermedite +
