Seagull Right Angle Finder for sale. Thought it may fit my D700 but viewfinder design is completely different.

1x - 2.5x magnification.
Dioptre adjustment.
Adapters for most camera makes including Pentax (although I found the Nikon adapter to be a more positive fit on the k20d, so presumably other pentaxes too)
Comes with box & leatherette pouch.

Will accept reasonable offers by PM & would consider swap/trade for Tamron adaptall lens.

Payment by paypal or bank transfer (or possibly cheque if you're stuck in the stone age)

If it's just loose dust you've got, I could give it a pass or 2 with my artic butterfly. I'm sure some of the stores in Cardiff would clean it for you, not aware of their prices though.

The opaque ones don't really work with a black background for me. They lack the subtlety of the lighter images. Funny how the noise is showing on the light areas *& not the dark as it is normally the other way around.

Actually scratch the mono idea, I just tried it & it does need some colour I think. I know you wont mind me playing, what do you think of a pastel style approach.

A cracker. Looks like an aussie with his cork hat on at a jaunty angle. I don't find the colours too appealing though, have you tried a mono conversion ?

Enjoying the 70-300mm then Ted ? A bit of the famous purple fringing on #'s 2 & 3 - Cricketers whites aren't going to help.

A pretty decent first attempt I'd say.

I don't think it's the mono conversion that's at fault here. The poses & lighting are both way off. If the composition was good in the first place & the lighting wasn't so harsh then you could take a look at fiddling with the B&W.

Andy, the built in flash is never going to give brilliant results in these sort of settings & is best reserved for some fill lighting when shot into strong light. I think here you may have been better served by exposing for the background (ie: meter the background with the flash down, then use manual shooting mode & dial in the aperture & s/s that was indicated when you metered) I think this would have resulted in a more evenly exposed photo but you may well have had to raise the iso a fair bit if you were handholding.

A lens with a wide aperture (f2 or lower) would serve you well in these situations, as would a flash that you could bounce or use off camera.

If Kerry is willing to pose for photos for you then you have a great start - a little technique & a lot of practice will stand you in good stead & when you've cracked it I'm sure you'll notice by the smile on your models face !

I'm trying to be helpful Andy rather than harsh. Hope it sounds that way, and I don't profess to being an expert either ! I'm sure further advice will follow.
