Take a workload of patience, then add another pile load of hours of trials and errors, splashes and cleaning up the mess at the end of every session, various experimentations with colours and liquids, get all drenched in coloured water and frustrating hours and what do you get in the end?
Something that leave you smiling finally

After days and weeks of trials finally I can get these little beauties out precisely the way I want them .
These were all taken without any electronic aids or devices. With practise the hit rates become good and then tweaking the light angles, colours amount of splashes become easy.

C&C greatly appreciated as usual.

Thank you

Amin

A cracker. Looks like an aussie with his cork hat on at a jaunty angle. I don't find the colours too appealing though, have you tried a mono conversion ?

Rob, these first ones were plain without me trying to enhance the colours, wanted to nail the bouncing drops, and then I went on to work on the coloured liquids and reflections.

I noticed also a lot of noise, I definitely need to sort out this issue of noise on all of these shots

Actually scratch the mono idea, I just tried it & it does need some colour I think. I know you wont mind me playing, what do you think of a pastel style approach.

That 2nd one is prety unique too. I just wish I had your patience

Wow amin,

You really have got the hang of this.

I do agree with RR about the colours though, not sure about a mono conversion, but a slightly darker or stronger colour in the background might have helped the crown to stand out more.

EDIT:- I took so long to type that you posted a second one, much better

The opaque ones don't really work with a black background for me. They lack the subtlety of the lighter images. Funny how the noise is showing on the light areas *& not the dark as it is normally the other way around.

Yes, I struggle big time with noise on these ones.
I dread constantly bumping up the iso because my shots come out ruined.
I might have to get an extra flash.

Just to prove the subjectiveness of photography i prefer the dark backgrounds because it really makes the opaque ones stand out !!

Number five for me Amin, great shot.

I could end up boring you all with the liquid drops , so decided to upload on my flickr site, so this way the thread doesn't become annoyingly big. The rest of the day's liquid drops are here

Suggestions for titles will be greatly appreciated as any C&C
thank you
