Loved this feature: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/sep/12/eagles-v-drones-dutch-police-take-...

Dutch have trained eagles to take down rogue and nuisance drones. Brilliant!

Ditto above, also with reference to the gallery shot (there's the nude McGregNi) would a soft box or some kind of light diffuser help, maybe with a reflector to reduce the harshness of the shadows. Easy for me to say though, I have never tried studio work!

I particularly like 9, 11 & 12. There is a bit of a trend for more experimental techniques involving deliberate movement, but when you think about it that's not much different to panning, time lapse (I.e. Light trails from night traffic) zoom shots, soft focus, use of bokeh and the whole gamut of techniques available. Let's not confuse matters by trying to categorise this as 'art' as opposed to photography otherwise we fall into to the endless and ultimately pointless discussion of 'what is art'. Anyhow well done on these, it's great to see experimentation and sometimes it really comes off!!

And McGregNi, don't you ever sleep?!

Well I use my DA 12-24 from about 17mm. Given that it looks like the 15-30mm can't take filters, I'm not in a hurry to get it.
This came up recently, the Lee Filters SW150 system will fit using the Tamron 15-30mm attachment, but it ain't cheap!

The K-1 will give better performance in low light and much easier to reduce noise in Lightroom but I can only compare to a K50. Using the wifi to tether to an iPad is a bonus if you want a large live view image. Unfortunately I cannot get my iPhone 5 to synchronise for some reason as I fancied it as a remote shutter release, maybe a later iPhone will work. As for the DA* lenses, I believe only the two longer ones will be effective at FF so if you change you will then have to accept the cropped sensor. There are some new primes in the roadmap next year so I am hoping they will be equivalents in FF.

Nice demonstration, McGregNi. I reckon that coupled with a teleconverter this lens will cover about 75% of normal requirements, but I can't find evidence that the 1.4X will give good sharpness over the whole 35mm sensor size at all focal lengths. Hopefully a new one will be issued some time.

Framed nicely by the corrugated edge, well done!

You've got some 'up close and personal' angles there! I especially like the one from under the fallen tree branches. You need some better light outdoors to really give it a good run
Yeah, like evening light in sunny Kensington!

I wonder, does the K1 come with automatic distortion corrections for this lens (JPEG only I know) ... and are they effective?
Dunno, as I only use RAW but click on distortion correction in Lightroom and it recognises the lens and does the necessary.

As a follow-up to this thread I just bought a Peak Design Messenger 13 which is the new slightly smaller version of Daronl's bag. Luckily I was able to try some bags at Premier Inks and Photographic with a collection of lenses, and they usually do a good deal. Big plus is the lightness, but the tripod holder doesn't really work (I have a Manfrotto Befree) as it doesn't fit if anything is stored in the pouch next to it and you have to put the head in the bag which takes up space otherwise it becomes unwieldy. Apart from that I can fit the DSLR with a lens attached plus four others, or three plus a flash and all the other stuff as well. Tempting though the extra space in the 15 was, I reckoned I would end up filling it with everything 'just in case' which would render it unmanageable over a reasonable distance.
