Hi,
Sorry, the downloads are there but they're not current. Even this user site plugs into Japan for the K5 update..come on UK catch up.
What's the issue if the link goes to pentax Japan? You don't have to do anything other than click the link.
Sounds like someone needs to get out more.

I googled Pentax uk and clicked the download tab from the google results. I'm pretty sure it took me to the UK page for firmware download.

Hi guys, what is a 100% crop and how do you achieve it? I assume you zoom in? But how far?

Perhaps one of you more experienced shooters could explain.

Cheers !

I have a case logic sling bag if I'm only carrying a few bits. It has a hammock type system inside. . You leave the lens on the camera and push it through the centre of the hammock so that the camera and lens are hanging in the bag.
If you see a photo opportunity you don't even have to take the bag off. Simply spin the bag round so that its sitting in front of you, open the zip and pull the camera out. Brilliant design! IMO.

Search youtube for case logic slr camera sling.

Hi, when viewing pics in the gallery and checking the exif details , amongst other things is f/stop and aperture value.
This is probably a silly question but, what is f/stop? I assume aperture value is the aperture setting ? If so, what is f/stop?

Thanks.

Hi ,
Does anyone know if its possible to tell the age of a lens by the serial number?
I should be receiving a lens that I won on eBay in the next few days, it's a da60-250 so I know it's not old but just wondered if I can pin point the year.

Cheers.

Try an alcohol wipe (the kind they use in hospitals). The isopropyl alcohol will freely evaporate, leaving the glass clean.

That's great, I'll give it a to later. I was a bit worried about applying any kind of chemicals in case it affected the surface .

Cheers
