That's a beautiful shot Prieni, very 'other-worldly'.

Have to say though I think your border needs to be wider, the image looks a little cramped in there to me. I prefer it like this (hope you don't mind me 'remounting' your photo, I looked for one of my own to use but kept being drawn back to yours, let me know if you want me to delete it):
Thanks Dan, although I don't like the bit on the top not being the same as the sides (did you ever watch the series "Monk"? ) I think you are right that it needs a wider border. Good job I didn't order the poster yet. Now it also works with the same width border all around...

I also very much like your frame of the square shot (and the shot itself, of course, I like going on the mushroom and toadstool "hunt".

Choices, choices, and so many of them looking quite good. (Well, better than the other way round, little choice and all of them looking bad.)

Cheers,
Prieni

Here is a new frame on the same photo as requested

Pete, that second one is much nicer (but you should make the upper border the same width as left and right). I'm preparing to order some big prints and for a frame I have looked around and found one that I thought had nice proportions. So I copied that one and measured the proportions. Here's one of my candidates (of course reduced in pixel size )

At least it proves he showers
Not quite proof, is it? It's far too beautiful to waste it on my body.

I should probably try to put it in a flat faced glass container, as some aberration occurs from the inferior optical quality of the plastic container. Can't these shower gel producer take more care in the optical design of their containers? Shame on them!

Mongoose you got it!
It's a Nivea brand shower gel. When you turn the bottle air bubbles are slowly going up, first a big one and then sometimes smaller ones. This is one of the smaller ones.

Will,
I love the light in the two latter ones. Great shots!
Did you use the awkwardly named "Sky bule emphasis" colour adjustment option in SPDS on the second one?

The Sigma 70-300, 4-5.6 APO DG might be another option. I just recently got mine, so not many shots on the WEB, yet. Here's one using the macro option:

Arthur,

I have a stunning photo at 75 x 50 cm (30 x 20 " on my wall, taken with the *istD and an old MF Kiron 70-210. Ok, I did blow it up in PS to match the print resolution (and did some post processing on the shot itself), but that doesn't add information to the picture.
I bet it would even be more impressive now that I convert my RAWs with SilkyPix. I wouldn't hesitate to enlarge any good shot from the *istD to that size (but wall size can become a commodity...).

Apparently there is some problem with your *istD. But, of course, I do think that the image quality of the K10D is better than that of the *istD.

P.S.: Can't link the shot directly. It can be found at
