I had no trouble getting a photo count on my KR, but am having problems with my K30.
Am getting an error notice implying that I may have cropped the image or altered it in photo software. This is not the case.
It could be that my elderly computer won't accept the 16mpg pixels of the K30.
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem?

With regard to Eneloops, I have used both the white and black versions on my KR, and have found that the black ones not only last longer but are more efficient when using live view or video. These are the modes that eat up batteries, but probably the extra power of the black eneloops helps here.

Referring to the original thread,I am sure that the use of eneloops will cure your problem with your 100D camera, as it did when I had my DL2.

Regards
Malcolm

Paid a visit to Comet in Broadstairs this morning.
They are selling KR for £249.99! A sure bargain for this fine camers!

To really prove the point about using Live View, the K-01 only manages just over 200 shots per charge. Reason - no viewfinder! And I believe it uses the same battery as the K5.

Have just read a comparison test in DSLR User magazine where the reviewer rated the Canon 1100D and the Nikon 3100 superior to the KR in both image quality and ISO performance, also stating that the KR's exposure was unreliable.
Is this just Canon, Nikon bias, as several comments in the Pentax Forum rate the KR superior to these two cameras? It does seem rather odd that this happens time and time again when reviewers review Pentax cameras

Another note of caution on buying from Ebay.I bought a cheap battery holder for KR, and although it fitted and worked, it was just a fraction too long. This meant that undue force was needed to close battery compartment, resulting in it flipping open during a shoot.
I have since purchased the Pentax version which, of course, fits perfectly.

All the Best,
Malcolm Taylor.

Thank you for your comments. It does look, as John Riley suggests, that battery drain is now minimal. But I don't think that was the case on the earlier models.

When Pentax first introduced SR in their cameras (Ithink it was the K100D), I remember reading in the AP review that switching this feature on, it was on the back of the camera then, had a big influence on battery drain.
I am wondering if this still applies. Does anyone have a answer to this?

KR,SuperA,MX,MZ5N. Numerous lenses.
