How long is a piece of string?

Why are so many people SOOO hung up on actuations? no point at all.
My main reason for asking the question is that Im starting to regret trading my k10 as part payment for my new kr. I may look to buy a 2nd hand model at some point but would like to know how long it may be good for after use by the former owner. Thanks for the feed back guys I found your answers very helpful.

I would avoid the samsung mine had a problem with the sensor sent it to samsung for repair and they could not repair it due to the lack of spare parts. I ended up with them giving me a voucher to spend at the place of purchace. My camera was just over 12 months old.

I have recently purchased the K-X in the last six months.. Im very pleased with it. Though I would have to say if I was buying now it would be the K-r.. You will carry far less battery sets aroundon a days shooting.
got a k-r and it is a good piece of kit but mine is eating batteries for fun i and have eneloops and 2500mhah camlinks and other good quality batteries including the supplied rechargeable li-on and up to now am disapointed with the life of them all and i do not use live view.
I have the Kr and the battery life seems good to me.

Very nice set I realy like the last one the green mould on the wall works realy well to add contrast to the overall scene. Your Fathers SBT looks a big lad.
