I picked up an Elicar Ring Flash for a Fiver; 49mm filter ring fitting but I HOLD it over my 6x7 lens and it works; here are some tests to see if it 'blows up' my Digital K10D bearing in mind what I read about on the Metz 45CT1 thread. Well, it worked, no bangs or fused circuits as far as I can make out and I used the K10D today outside and all working OK.
I used the 50mm SMC Macro-Takumar screw lens with adapter, set to aperture indicated f16 and it just needed a half stop more.

Here are some pics I didn't put on before on this site. Some with kit lens, others with a 80-200mm f3.5 Prinzflex I was given and is amazingly sharp, I use it all the time with my film Pentaxes.

The Prinzflex lens : I increased the 'saturation' a bit in PhotoShop 7 here.

I just meant that the IDEAS I take on digital are not good enough; it's very rare I get a pic from press work that is unusual enough to print up for competition/exhibition size; a picture of a cheque presentation by the Mayor for Guide Dogs For the Blind would never make a club comp. pic so I take my 'winners' on holiday trips and I haven't taken the digital on holiday yet, just a day trip to Clacton - did I put the results on here?

George: Thanks for comment ; well, I thought is is interesting to give 'Technical Details' such as in the photo magazines (although a lot of settings do not help readers). I was told that 6MP is good enough for pics downsized for e-mailing to the newspapers, and I would use the 10MP if printing out for exhibition, but I have never done a PRINT yet from the K10D as I still haven't got the new printer working yet !

The one with the Jack Russell was 'Jetty Dogs' where they have to jump into a tank of cold water to retrieve a ball - needless to say, most were very reluctant ! This was on ISO 400 setting.

Dave :Thanks for finding that web-site ; it IS the right one but I have never bought anything from abroad on the computer yet. I bet it has the two-pin USA plug too. Well, I may spend the vouchers on something else, say FILM ! Regards the sensor cleaning: I have NOT done it yet since getting the K10D ( the one which WORKED properly ! ) I just am careful when changing lenses, getting out the screw-bayonet adapter etc. and not found any need to use the 'Sensor Cleaning Device' yet.

I got some more Jessops vouchers so I thought Iwould order the AC adapter for the K10D : I went to Jessops Romford and asked if they could order it; the assistant got a K10D out of the showcase and looked at the socket then went to 'ask the Computer' - "Computer says 'No' , but should get it in 3 weeks " so I ordered it; I had a look at the order slip some days later and saw they had put 'istD' on it for the adapter so I looked in the K10D book and got the actual number then phoned Jessops and the assistant had to phone me back some hours later after checking and found I was right and they were wrong BUT there were NO AC adapters for the K10D in UK anywhere and they suggested I search Europe on the internet for a source , so how do I start that ?
