Tests with a Ring Flash

I picked up an Elicar Ring Flash for a Fiver; 49mm filter ring fitting but I HOLD it over my 6x7 lens and it works; here are some tests to see if it 'blows up' my Digital K10D bearing in mind what I read about on the Metz 45CT1 thread. Well, it worked, no bangs or fused circuits as far as I can make out and I used the K10D today outside and all working OK.
I used the 50mm SMC Macro-Takumar screw lens with adapter, set to aperture indicated f16 and it just needed a half stop more.
