Scott, No I don't mind. However, I don't have the technocal knowledge to adjust the image as well as you.

Andy,

I didn't think I was using a macro lens, just a 50mm. So if I am wrong it shows what I know.

Jack,

Its not the camera its my ability.

Had already decided before I posted these images that if they didn't work I would call it a day on this sort of photgraphy as I don't appear to be learning from all the consructive comments and obviously am not up to it. I will stick to the easy stuff - wildlife in AF and leave the tricky stuff to the experts.

Thanks for your comments though.

Is this one any better. I have adjusted the curves, removed noise and cropped.

Yes OK, just getting a bit demoralised with trying to master anything ther than wildlife. Might just go back to once a year photography

Amin,

Maybe I should go to your woods and take photo's and see if the police turn up?

OK. I did get Corel to adjust the curves. So are the originals any better?

I am not great at taking pictures of people, however, I have been encouraged to have a go. I am little concerned about posting these as they are probably not very good!
The reason there are more of Hiedi than Alfie is that Hiedi was easier to photograph. Alfie was in the shade and so the pictures don't seem as good in my opinion.

Reducing the price on this now. For some reason the trade-in price from SRS has gone down! The camera was bought from London Camera Exchange on 3rd April 2009 as an emergency replacement for one which develpoed a fault the day before a safari! it comes boxed with all the cables, CD, etc. Not selling the kit lens. Looking to buy a flash gun instead so may consider a swap for a good one! PM serious offers only please over £200.

Thanks for your comments. To answer your points -

Manesty - ISO200 and used a tripod Sigma 105mm Macro.
Jacko - had to use the camera flash (which I thought was what was showing in the first picture?)as I am in the process of trying to buy a proper flash and ISO200 and already removed noise which is a bit worrying. Will keep trying but not today!
Amin - You are correct, I need a remote. I have actually bought one but haven't figured out how to set it up yet! Yes, the
plants are in a deark part of the garden and the light was very grey, hence the use of the flash and F2.8 which I have never had before. I tried higher F numbers but they come out really dark and even adjusting the curves doesn't mae them that much brighter. I take it a proper flash will help with this?

Thanks again
