I would say J that your big problem there is the sun being to bright!
Its taken the skin tone out the best one IMO is the last one.
Natural pose, not to bright and you can see the skin tones.
Ime sure others will have beter opinions but there mine.
(I hate shooting portraits, people are so awkward!!)

It's a nice set of pictures that show some of the fun that was being enjoyed by the family. That's great - one of the best uses for photography.
Technically they are a bit over bright but the content is what matters here. You've caught some great expressions!

The reason there are more of Hiedi than Alfie is that Hiedi was easier to photograph. Alfie was in the shade and so the pictures don't seem as good in my opinion.
