I am sure it will probably have the Sony 24MP APS-C sensor. This is a bit of a concern for me as inspite of the detail improvement, I have read in many places that it is not as good as the mighty 16MP sensor in Low light performance and dynamic range. Mind you it is JUST a sensor, and Pentax may have something up its sleeve with the processing.
Keep the shutter as is, it is great. If they can eek out a couple more FPS out of it without compromising reliability, then all the better. Still 7 FPS is still excellent!
Improved AF - Each generation has got better, and hopefully this will be another leap.
More reliable metering. Even my K-5 can be fooled. If I focus on something black, and want it to be more evaluative, as even now it can be a pain, and the Sunny16 has to compensate.
Buffer - a LOT bigger buffer please, especially on FPS and long exposures
Larger viewfinder - Yes 100% is great, but it is a tad tunnel like. Also, I would like a better viewfinder for using manual lenses. *istDS is so much better for this.
Apart from that, I can't think of anything more at the moment.

Have you noticed the filter size on this new lens? - 52mm
My FA50, F28, DA35, DA21, DA40 all have the 49mm filter. So that means my (not cheap) polorizer will fit all of them. Not this new fifty though
It may be a small point, but notable though.
Rant over!

However the price on SRS - £235 - is just plain silly! The Canon f1.8 is a mere £99, and the Nikon is only £114. so to pay more than double than that, I will not!
I don't blame SRS, but Pentax pricing.
It is a shame, as I would have been very interested in this lens (even with the FA F1.4)
I only hope that the launch price actually comes down to a reasonable price in due course.

Ektar was nice, Portra I have not used but has good feedback.
Looks like I will have to stock up on Ektar now, at least I can still get it processed, unlike the much missed Kodachrome.
So, what is left?
Fuji Reala? - I love it! Great for portraits
Fuji Superia? - No 100ISO anymore and not as good as Ektar
Fuji Velvia? - It divides opinion, but I like it for Landscapes
Fuji Pro160 series - not processed any yet, but I have heard it is good.
As for Kodak's B+W film, sorry, I have always preferred Ilford's range for this. But I am sure T-Max will be missed for some.

(X-5 119x86x107mm - S5000 113x81x79mm) and a bit heavier (595g v 430g), but it is still small, which I rather like.
Maybe it is the eventual replacement to my S5000.

£200 to £250 is probably going to be the launch cost, although £200 would be the better bet when compared to rivals.

Right OK, I can see where this is heading....
We have an office, solar panels.
We have an Asda photolab for the film boys here.
Extesion tubes are allowed.
Hmm one body? Ermm ok then we can have more than one body, BUT only one lens per body.
O'and a blackpool deck chair and foot spa, we need some home comforts after all
In that case I am keeping my camera bodies and lenses as is, with a plentyfull supply of film for the four film cameras

K20D - SMC-DA 21mm F3.2 Limited
K10D - SMC-DA 40mm F2.8 Limited
*istDS - SMC-DA 35mm F2.4
MZ-5n - SMC-F 28mm F2.8
MZ-50 - SMC-FA 50mm F1.4

The 55's, if they were S-M-C or SMC Taks, would be worth a tad more (about £10-20) due to their functioning with later bodies. As they are, they are still worth what Kris mentioned, and very worthy they are too.
The 35mm, again worth more in SMC spec, but worth more than the 55's are they tend to be a little bit more rare (I say little, as the 55's came with bodies, the 35 was a separate purchase)
Have you thought about keeping them and getting an M42-K adapter? Why? these lenses are excellent on Digital Pentax bodies. I actually use them on my K-5, and they are superb!.
