Re jpeg settings: Amateur Photographer in their review of the K-m recommended Bright, +1 saturation, -1 contrast, +0.3EV. This normally does the trick.

Are some Pentax APS sensors really larger than others? I assumed they are all of equal size. I must say the feather weight of my partner's K-m is a big plus, as compared with my GX10 tank.

I second the Fastpack 200. The Slingshot is only a glorified shoulder bag, and my ancient shoulders need some relief. The only thing that keeps me going is that old shoulders never die

Thinking about it I suppose that when focusing in the centre and then re-composing, it makes sense to use centre focus, rather than letting the camera decide. Maybe that's where I've been going wrong

According to this:

there will be a GX30.

Could it possibly be related to the K7:

Of course, if you happen to be a member of the National Trust there's no charge

Thanks for all the help. Back to the manual now

Hi-I'm ploughing through the GX10 manual and there are a couple of things confusing me: What is multi-exposure mode? I set it but nothing exciting happened. Also, what is the purpose of turning the dial to 'User'? I'm exactly half-way through the manual and I haven't even got to the difficult bits yet

I notice the GX10 body is still listed by Park Cameras at £289 if you google Park GX10, even though their site has it at £319. They honoured the cheaper price for me.

Having recently recently purchased a GX10 and being of a delicate nature I have to say I find it a heavy camera, with the 18-250 attached, to carry round all day. I can stick my K100D in my shoulder bag and hardly notice it's there. But it's nice having a new toy to play with!
