A lovely well observed set. No.4 with that figure, oh yes.

Hello Carolin, welcome.

I had a play with my cousins K30, nice camera. Mainly use the K-S2 myself.

Ansel Adams — 'The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it!' True that.

Thank you for the link.
I'm happy sticking with APS-C so not so concerned about the full frame glass however, great to see a little talk regarding updating some of the DA*s. Over due I think.

I think the new 50mm will be excellent, with a price to match mind you.

Wait for a sale from SRS. Quite often they have the 150-450mm for a lot less than 2k.

The 300mm and 1.4x is an excellent combination for birds as long as they aren't in flight but remember if you splashed out on the 150-450mm then that will also take the 1.4x well although you need reasonable light.
Indeed, yesterday SRS had 150-450mm at £1500 according to Camera price buster. Still a lot more than £900

Difficult when the current Sigma and Tamron 600mm zooms are not available in Pentax mount.
I guess the one option is a second hand Sigma 150mm -500mm which gives a good performance for the money. Or I hear say that the DA*300mm works well with the 1.4x aw rear converter, that would give a bit more reach.

Of the colour shots No.2 is my favourite.
My favourite over all is the mono, with the high contrast it has become more of a landscape graphic which I find more interesting and exciting over the colour versions, it also reduces the impact on the image of the foreground feeding station.
