I'm happy sticking with APS-C so not so concerned about the full frame glass however, great to see a little talk regarding updating some of the DA*s. Over due I think.

I think the new 50mm will be excellent, with a price to match mind you.

I think this lens is the marker in the ground for Ricoh. They have produced a Full Frame DSLR that can compete with the other manufacturers (not in every way - granted) and they are now intent on producing high quality lenses that will be the equal of (or better) than the other marques.

Yes, we are going to see much higher pricing as they move into the higher end (and presumably higher profit) of photographic equipment, but I see it as an adventure into a new world (okay, not that new - because some of us have seen them there in the past)

Is this an expensive pair of shoes! If it is they are very nice.... but.... TWO Sizes too big for me!

Designed to compete with the zeiss and sharper than a sigma art .

We know what happened the last time Pentax went head to head with zeiss.

Resulted in the legendry Super Takumar range.

Looks good.
