This months competition is all about creating an image shooting into the light. Any natural and or artificial light source can be used to create your image. This is a technique that can be used successfully for almost any subject matter or genre. I've seen great examples of people, animal and architectural shots using back lighting. Please have a go and join in this for fun competition.
Entries must be taken with a Pentax camera, captured and entered within the month of September. I look forward to seeing what you can come up with to make my judging a tough job.
Best regards
Nigel

I think it's beautiful. My one comment, for me the crop is just a little too tight, I'd like a little more space around the flower.

Another lovely set Mr Bill. My favourite of the moment is No.1 I think the composition is bang on. All well observed.

A lovely set, I've enjoyed looking at them then coming back and looking at them again.

A very nice set of well composed shots.
Regarding the flare, very much a personal thing. The flare does not distract from the photographs for myself but, in my view, it is not strong enough or prominent enough to be an intrinsic part of the photograph. In other words they are good strong photographs that happen to have flare. I feel there is room to explore actively encouraging flare as part of the composition, it can be done very successfully. I notice they quite often do it on TV programmes including quite a bit at Wimbledon where at times they do shots that deliberately encourage flare as part of the scene.

Give me more!

Both fascinating and beautiful.
It makes me want to create something similar from my wildlife area. It would be fascinating to create a series of found items from the same area at different times of the year.
Bravo!
