Indeed.

Very annoying!

I emailed Pentax UK when I wrote this post, but no reply from them.

You know George, I am considering moving back in a couple of years, but when are you?

Also, photographically, is just so much more satisfying; When I was last in Firenze I kept on going out and taking photos of people in the street. Here in London you get shot at sight... not with cameras....

OK FOund it.

From FLorence you take the SS2 towards Siena, and once you arrive in Siena, you keep on the outside of the city, until you find the SR2 towards 'Monterioni' -
Keep on the same road, and you'll get to 'San Quirico d'Orcia' which is where the photo was taken from.

It should take you about 2 HOurs from florence by car, and I don't think you have a transport alternative. You can get to Siena on a bus or train, but from there, you'll have to have your own.

If you want to be there at dawn, you might want to find hotels in nearby towns of Montepulciano, or Montalcino, but anyway, the whole area is absolutely amazing.

Hope this helps.

why don't you ask the pros?

Send me a PM and I'll find out for you...
(I'm from Florence, I know the area pretty well)

if they pay you, save their money and find a professional that will shoot the wedding.

I have been shooting VERY seriously for 4 years, and with many many important jobs behind me, thousends of photographic forums, books, 200 magazines, hundreds of hours of reading about photography, I would not dream of doing a wedding as a paid job.

You would have to learn about light, equipment, posing, formals, timing... I honestly suggest you re-think about it.

Good luck

If i go out with the camera for pleasure, I always only take one lens. For work, 2 full bags...

Most of the times I take the 31, or the 50. In the last year I have taken the 50-135 out a lot as well.

Probably the best portfolio I've ever done was shot with my dad's K2, and 50mm M in Florence, tri-ex film, and a lot of imagination!

Yves,
there is a post on dpreview about this topic.

I have answered there as well; my K7 shoots at normal fps rate (5.2) when the flash is on the hotshoe but turned OFF.

You might have the same problem that the OP in that thread reports with his Metz 58.

indeed, when I used the ebay triggers it fired at 5.2

btw just tried with the K10:
the fps rate is about half than the K7, so even without pushing too much, the idea is that the flash should cope with this rate.

Results;
If the K10 fires at, say, 2.8 / 3 fps, the AF540 oncamera, in M, 1/64, actually fires every shot. it may feel a tad slower than the normal fps rate, but only by a minimal amount, say 2.7 fps.

Interesting uh?
