No, maybe this really does represent a bit of a concession. I doubt I'm the only one to have given the local NT representative more than a mouthful of opinion on this issue when I met her on a shoot several months ago. I asked her to relay it forcefully to the national recruitment person, who she was on the way to meet.

I wonder if it's anything to do with the fact that Pentax' heyday was 20+ years ago. So the Pentax demographic contains a higher than average number of 40+ blokes like me, who a) possibly have a lot of experience so don't need much PP work, b) possibly own fine older glass so don't feel a need to post process & c) don't really want to master another set of tools.

Fow what it's worth, I've been in marketing many years and part of this has been the use of photoshow for web development work. I've been using it for 10 or so years so I know how it works etc - and of course I use it with RAW. In moderation.

Cheeky aside - I'm trying to sell one of these in order to acquire a sigma 10-20, if anyone has that urge let me know! It's a cute lens: took this pic of holmbury st mary church interior with it only last week.

I'm in marketing myself - exhibition space rarely pays a return. I cancelled all our exhibition space this year and spent it on other forms or marketing that have produced a decent ROI.

George is quite right. And I'd rather be looking at pouting ladies =)

Forgot to mention - happy to trade these + add something for any rectilinear lens really, zoom or prime, with as few mm as possible

I was under the impression that the white halo is due to CA - I find I can usually tone it down a little by fiddling with the CA parameter in the RAW

LCE seem to be really pushing the K-X, interestingly they have the red one in the window at Guildford and one inside too. No K-7 though.

At the price they're selling them, I do alightly wonder if they've over-ordered and are doing a Jessops on us...
