Single Lens Reflex

One lens + one mirror = one SLR

nice find, have you tried any?

Indeed.

Probably a mix and match range of colour options for the Pentax D-LI90 battery though.
oooo I hope they back port it to the K-10D battery!

a good decision, personally I have stepped in twice, both times on the understanding that I am absolutely not a professional and people aren't even my thing, and as such I'll bring all my kit and do my very best, but only if the alternative is that they can't afford to have a 'tog at all.

I wont stand by and watch a friend have no "proper" wedding shots when I could do something, but I'd much rather be the guy with an above average camera taking candids.

Karl, I am having similar thoughts, I'm going to wait until I can afford a K5-ii because for me that new focus system is a killer feature, but depending on your style and favourite subjects that might not be important to you. The K5 is a real bargain right now if your AF needs are modest.

I was there myself earlier in the summer, you certainly did better than I did on the Magic Kingdom Fireworks!

I like the Atlantis angle too, although I would, I took almost exactly the same shot That's a really impressive exhibition is it not? we were there 4 days before it opened and were lucky to catch a technical rehearsal.

Does anyone know if any of those non-Pentax lenses has a Ricoh pin because, if it does, it might get stuck on a DSLR body.

ooo very good point, I don't know the lenses in question but I think I'm right in saying you just have to make sure there aren't any protruding bits on the mount?

I want a DA* 300 more than I can possibly articulate in meer words.

I would not do half as well as you have done above, but half that good would do me nicely!

If you want to have some fun with the MV1 they'll match to that beautifully, as to using them on your DSLR, well try it. Some people love the feel of old manual lenses, others can't get on with the lack of automation. It very much deppends on your preferences and your style of photography.
