I collaborated on a book and we used blurb The quality of the final book was excellent. The challenge was for each contributor to use a single lens throughout the month, taking 1 photo a day link Have also used a similar company to record my grand-daughters first year and my Kenya Safari. Very easy to do and a good way of producing a present!

Well must admit I very rarely comment. However, I have to agree with what has been said. All of the photos seem to be very "Messy". Bits chopped off all over the place. No1 appears to be catching the subject matter, but a bit of cloning to tidy up the image would not go amiss in my opinion. The stones and other clutter could be cloned out, as could the stray wool on the ewe's neck. Too many back ends in some of the others.
Practice and more practice is my motto - it will come good in time...

Cheers all, I'm annoyed more than anything that the tubes are broken, I took a punt as I hoped that they might have the contacts...but didn't. And if they didn't I wanted to put them straight back on and hope to get back what I paid. But I have a conscience and could not out of principle put these back on because they are broken and would not want to rip anyone off.
At least it was only £8.
Why not use the tubes for parts and make this - a reverse ring flash holder. All is not lost! Comment Image

Just need some araldite and an old 49mm filter with the glass removed...

Thanks for the responses; makes me feel slightly better.

My questions now are:

(a) where do I send my Pentax lenses for calibration?
Been waiting - with interest, just where does one send a lens for calibration!!
You could send lens and camera to JP for matching together.
Apologies John - Where/who/what is JP

Regards

Agree with your advice and comments Steve - they worked on me. Bought a lens or two from you in the past via eBAY !

Does anyone have any experience with this lens? I spotted one of these for sale locally. It has a built in set of ND filters and other filters and oozes build quality. Question is: how does it perform? I would assume that manual focus with an f11 lens could be challenging (!), and that it will be highly susceptible to vibrations but just wanted to know if anyone out there has used one and recommends it?
Chiming In - Yes I do have one of these lenses. I found it surprisingly easy to hand hold, along with a bean bag support. The images produced were very good for a mirror lens of this focal length. Apologies in advance, but no images availble now as my pc crashed and took the attached backup drive with it!! -
