sherwood set up close to robin

Had a walk round Sherwood Forest , some of the trees are so old , Major oak used to play in it when a kid can't get near it now. and met Robin of sherwood on walk got up close and personal hope you like em

Thanks Geordie must say having bought my first dslr 4 months ago the k5 what a brilliant tool it his and love this hobby ,wish i took it up years ago and not bothered with motorbikes so much i'm seeing things in a different perspective getting out in the countryside more its great

I think you have some good captures here but either the exposure is off or your still having problems with photoshop or your monitor calibration, they are far too bright.
Compare these on your monitor with the Robin in my portfolio (I thought mine was a tad overexposed)

Still a tad too bright.

I find exposures from the K5 to be pretty reliable though I have found it tends to overexpose in very bright light.

Usually my images get little more than a quick tweak in levels in accordance with the Histogram, then perhaps a slight tweak to saturation followed by cropping and sharpening depending on output.

I do like the composition of this shot.

The bird needs some more contrast and the yelllowy colour cast needs toning down somewhat though. IMO

I'd also crop the top so that there's about 1cm above the deadwod

Nipper, Can we see an unedited (other than resized) shot of that last Robin? Giving advice is difficult without knowing exactly what you've done to an image.
