I paid £85 for mine about 2 years ago. So 80 is a fair price.
It's a great little lens and very sharp. The manual focus is a joy to use. You won't be disappointed. In fact I'm unable to part with it even though I now have the Samsung version of the DFA 100 macro.

LOVE number 2. Great sky, it just screams winter afternoon.

K5
If you have the K20 then the K7 is just a repackaging rather than an upgrade. The K5 is worth it for the High ISO noise performance alone, never mind the smaller size, faster AF and practically silent ( well compared to the K20) shutter.

You should get some graduated ND filters. The difference between even a cloudy sky and the ground will be several stops so without these filters or some post processing you are never going to be able to get both right ( or even close).

You should have no problems taking pictures anywhere. You can take pictures in the Tube but no flash as it looks just like the lines getting short circuited and can dazzle the drivers.
You can take pictures around all the tourist attractions, after all thats the point! You can even photograph the MI5 HQ. It makes a nice picture from the other side of the river. Of course you will photographed doing it!
Some museums even allow photography inside but again usually without flash. But ask on entry as some don't allow any photography at all.
No security concerns apart from staying out of rough looking areas and housing estates, not that there are many of those around most of the tourist traps.

Why? What on earth are you going to do with it?
Don't ask me, I'm not going to be there!

On a more constructive note....

Use a tripod.
Use the 2s delay to avoid mirror induced shake.
Look for unusual angles, reflections, contrasts.
Use moving lights/people for trails.( eg. traffic, but don't get run over.)
Use very long exposures ( ND filters!)to make people invisible.
Wrap up warm!

I'll take one of the 77mm slim filters if it's still available.

You can bring goods to the value of £390 into the UK with you before you are liable for import duty.
