Thanks for removing the temptation Roy. That lens had "divorce" written all over it.....
Or at the very least I'd be "off games" for months......

Welcome back.
I like this, more than I feel I should, but I can't quite put my finger on why.
Is this the 21mm again or a bit wider?

I have to agree. My K20 bounces right in my solar plexus it drives me mad. So I bought a "quick strap" from ebay for £15. and it's a huge improvement. Pretty much the same as the "sun sniper" that someone linked to above but far less money.
Very comfortable carry position by your side and the camera falls right into your hand when you need it. It also has a litte pocket for memory card/IR remote. Well worth the money. You may want to remove it for tripod use though I don't think that's too much of a problem. At least not for me.

My camera is big enough without adding a hunk of metal to it as well. Nice try but no cigar. I'd rather have the DA 35 2.4 for that sort of money.

Apple products are great. They are aimed mainly at people with a fear of , or no interest in technology and how it works. Their user interface is the main selling point. They are a triumph of marketing over value.
However they do indulge in anti competitive practices.

I,however, being a tight arse, prefer to pay a quarter to a third of the price for an equivalent product with a slightly more demanding user interface.

Have to agree with the others. For portraits the M or A 50 1.4 is great. On digital it allows enough distance to avoid crowding your subjects. Wide open it just a tad soft which is perfect for portraits and you can throw the background beautifully out ot focus. Stop it down to f2 and beyond and it's as sharp as a sharp thing. Also the manual focus is silky smooth and it's £50 -£80.
Next choice depends on your personal preferences. Personally I'd go for the 17-70 as it is the perfect do everything lens. Spend six months with that and see what focal lengths you end up shooting most of your pictures at. If you find you need something wider then go for the 10-20.
I have to say I love my 100mm macro. That would be my next choice after the 17-70. I started with a second hand 100 f4 which only gives a 2:1 ratio but that was enough to get me hooked. So I boight the DFA100 (well, Samsung version). It opens up a whole new world. Or look at a Raynox adapter for a cheaper alternative.
A K5 with a 17-70 would be quite a combination.
