D300 out at weekend, Zero PP required shooting RAW .NEFs at 12bits. Only required cropping.

I would have had to spend some time PP same images taken with K10D.

Now I feel I can go out and shoot without having to work the images in Photoshop to pull out the information captured.
Can we see some of the results?

A search of the forum (photo book) returned this.

You might find your answer there.

Apologies for the triple post. I've asked admin to delete the other two if they can. It seems their new system can't handle international characters in the topic title.

This better not be true otherwise I will cry.
You'll be crying plenty enough when you see the price of decent Nikon optics, another tear or three would not be noticed.

I took these pics during a 2 hour walk of the lower slopes of the Sierra Espuna National Park today.

Black-tailed Skimmer - Orthetrum cancellatum (Originally incorrectly identified as a Female Hairy Dragonfly (Brachytron pratense)). Thanks to Dan Bridge for the correction.

Did you use a flash in #1? The lads face looks well lit.

I'm a little surprised you can use it on the 180 without any vignetting, I haven't tried my AF-080C flash on my 180.
The AF140C is 58mm, the same diameter as the front element of the Sigma EX 180mm Macro. Even though the 180mm has a 77mm filter thread, the glass is still only 58mm, hence no (or very little) vignetting.

I attach mine using a 77-58mm step down ring and the 58mm ringflash holder.

John is absolutely correct, but to answer your question, the D-BG1 is designed for use with the *istD which also takes AA batteries. It will not fit the *istDS.

Pentax don't make a battery grip for the *istDS but there are third party grips available.
